Job Responsibilities
- Design low-noise, low-distortion and/or low-voltage analog circuits
- Design battery powered power and charger stages
- Design high-speed or high-precision data conversion stages including ADCs, DACs and associated peripherals
- Develop hardware for embedded devices such as microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, etc.
- Develop high speed digital communication stages
- Develop documentation and test plans for hardware
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineers for mechanical placement compatibility of electronic hardware
- Work closely with Embedded Software Engineers during board bring-up, validate, test and debug stages
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of work experience in hardware design
- Proven experience on a complex multi-layered (4+) hardware design project with schematic, layout, bring-up and characterization experience
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, SPICE, PSPICE, PSIM)
- Hands-on experience with test & measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators/analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers)
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Altium Designer
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Hi-Fi audio circuits is a big plus
- Hands-on experience with high-precision (18 bits or more), low-noise data conversion circuits is a big plus
- Experience with EMC/EMI, ESD
- Knowledge of signal integrity concepts (insertion/return loss, crosstalk, BGA breakout, etc.)
- Experience with compliance testing
- Experience with high-speed board design
- Familiarity with hardware development practices
