Digital Signal Processing Engineer

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Research and analyse algorithms for signal detection used in detectors
  • Study patents and papers related to detection technologies
  • Simulate detection algorithms in MATLAB and/or Python Environment
  • Develop real-time Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software to implement algorithms on the Embedded Processors
  • Develop subsidiary programs for collecting signal samples from devices at lab and/or the field
  • Develop analysis programs on PC environment using Python, PyQt5, QT to visually analyse collected signals and report the results in well-defined formats
  • Develop documentation and test plans for the algorithm and the software
  • Test the algorithms at the lab and the field
  • Investigate, debug, and modify existing code

 

Job Requirements

 

  • BS or MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering
  • Solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Techniques
  • 5+ years of directly applicable work history in DSP Programming
  • Proficiency in Real-Time C Programming language
  • Proficiency with microcontroller IDE Design & Development Tools
  • Strong understanding of Software Development practices
  • Experience with Real-Time Kernels and/or Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of signal processing theory and techniques such as filtering, detection, estimation, compression, modulation, demodulation
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with ST, Renesas, Microchip, TI or similar processor platforms is a plus
  • Experience in real-time Detection and Classification problems is a plus
  • Understanding of Electromagnetism and Electromagnetic Induction Theory is a plus
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB and QT is a plus
  • Experience with Machine Learning is a plus
  • PhD degree is a plus
