JOB SUMMARY
The International Sales Specialist is responsible for developing and expanding export sales and business operations within a designated geographical region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Territory Management: Take ownership of the assigned export region and develop a deep understanding of the market, competition, and potential customer base.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective export sales strategies and business plans for the designated region to achieve or exceed sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with international customers, distributors, and partners in the assigned region.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential growth areas, and competitive insights within the region.
Customer Acquisition: Identify and establish relationships with potential international customers, distributors, and partners.
Market Expansion: Continuously seek opportunities for market expansion, new product launches, and market penetration.
Sales Growth: Continuously seek new sales opportunities, potential clients, and distribution partners to expand market presence and increase sales.
Negotiation: Participate in negotiations with clients, distributors, and partners to secure sales agreements, contracts, and favorable terms.
Export Compliance: Ensure that all export activities within the assigned region comply with international trade regulations and documentation requirements.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales performance, prepare reports, and communicate results to the senior management team.
Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer support and address customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
ERP and Reporting: Regularly track and report customer, dealer, quotation, order, and sales activities through the ERP (CANIAS) system.
Target and Action Tracking: Monitor regional performance in line with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and create the necessary action plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in international sales, export sales, business development, or regional sales management.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English, written and spoken. Knowledge of Portuguese will be considered a strong advantage.
- Experience in distributor management, dealer network development, and customer relationship management.
- Previous travel experience in South America and Asia Pacific countries and a good understanding of South American and Asia Pacific markets, cultures, and business practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout South America and the Asia Pacific region.
- Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with distributors, dealers, and end users.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic international environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ERP (CANIAS) experience is an advantage.
